Wind, warm
Got a late start but did the Portage Meadows route, without the base gate spur but including a long route through the subdivision and adjacent park. It was a fun run, only because wind gusts were in the neighborhood of 50-60 mph (not kidding).
Running into it, especially next to the new soccer fields so that there was nothing to slow it down, was like pulling a 200 lb sled behind me. It blew my headphones off my head at one point.
Because of the wind, it also was warm -- on the order of 60 degrees. I felt good after a run-free weekend, though my hamstrings were sore because of working in Charlotte's garden yesterday. Pulling weeds and rototilling.
Anyway,
