Routine
Sal Paradise parties up in Central City (Colo.), then rides the bus to San Fran where he and Remy swipe groceries from a merchant marine barracks and lose their money at the track.
I, meanwhile, plod numbly around the Great Falls water tower route, dodging unusually heavy traffic -- people getting an early start on the last day of the first week of the year? What's that all about?
Anyway, it was uneventful, though I felt good and daily reinforce the masterstroke of rigging up with a Nano and digital books. It's warm -- 40-plus -- and calm right now, though the forecast has winds up to 75 mph this afternoon. I may come home at noon and take down my bedding, which I've hung outside on the makeshift clothesline. I don't think it'd stand up to a 75 mph wind.
