Change of pace

This was really nice. I went with Julia, 11, to the Sun River Dike and we trotted a mile and a half west and north on it, then back.

This was her first time jogging (they run the mile occasionally at school), and she was terrific, managing three miles at my pace or better. I'm impressed! It was the farthest she'd ever run, and she expressed interest in doing this more often as she prepares for track at her middleschool. She plans to run the sprints, and she'll be good at it. Sprinting, she reminds me of Dash, the little speedster in The Incredibles.

It's nice out -- probably 30 or so, sunny with a westerly wind. I'll try to go longish tomorrow.
