What went up, came down

Yesterday it was almost 50 at dawn, with a breeze and high clouds. Today, it's foggy, close, 19 degrees and calm. I had glass-fogging problems for only the second time this year (the first back in December when it was around zero).

I went to the flats, which is less sneaky-feeling in the pre-dawn light than it is in pitch darkness. It was nice, nonetheless, and I felt good. The lungs are still slightly congested, but improving daily. I actually think these non-strenuous runs are good for them.

Work yesterday was meeting hell, and I had to burn one of the aces-in-the-hole that I had stockpiled in an attempt to free up a weekend. Unless a miracle happens today or tomorrow, that now seems unlikely, at least for now.

I'm still hoping to meet friends in Nebraska in May for the Lincoln Marathon (half for us old fogeys). I can't see how I'll be able to get free of work, however, at this point. Something's going to have to change soon.

Anyway,
