Hot reservoir run

I had to do some work in the morning, so didn't get out to run until about 11 a.m., and unfortunately it already was in the 80s by then. I drove to the river and did what I call my reservoir run, but cut it short for three reasons: 1. my old trails are overgrown now that the railroad serving the malting plant has cut across it (a deep ravine); 2. the overgrowth made me nervous because I have seen rattlers out there in summer, and it's tough to see the buggers when you're tromping through grasses and weeds; and 3. it was too hot for me. I'm accustomed to running in the mornings, when it's from the 30s to the 50s, not this full-sun 80s stuff.

Did see a few other people out, including a woman who took off down the road at the same time I did. She was gone by the time I got back.

Saw no critters to speak of, but I did find a big hole in one spot that could be a fox hole.
