Back to the river

Wish I had a dime for every time I used that header. The river does have a certain pull, though, it's undeniable.

Stayed up a little late to watch the various debate discussions. Stuff and nonsense. If you like McCain, you figure he really took it to Obama and scored well; if you like Obama, you thought he retained his "presidentialness" and parried McCain's silly attacks. No "game changer" from where I sat.

The only game changed was that I didn't get to sleep until 10:30 or so, yet I got up at more or less the normal time. As a result, I was slogging a bit today. Went to the river behind the History Museum, then followed the trail around to 11th, etc. Boring really. One light went out by the old fur warehouse, and a few vehicles on River Road were obnoxiously loud. Met a woman running on about 3rd Ave N. and lots of activity (shift change?) around the cop shop.

Chilly this morning, but not as cold as yesterday. Low to mid 30s, and very little wind. Caught sniffs of refinery and the grain roaster all along the way.
