Oh what a beautiful mornin'...

Today I toured the large municipal cemetery near Jo's house, Wyuka. Along the way I came across the grave of perhaps Lincoln's most famous resident (right after Larry the Cable Guy), Gordon MacRae of "Oklahoma" fame.

It's a good place to run -- quiet, slightly hilly and moderately interesting.

It's also kind of pretty, especially this time of year.

Among the interesting things is this firemen's memorial, erected sometime in the aftermath of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. It had been recently decorated for unknown reasons.

Across the way from that is the most interesting spot in the cemetery, the holocaust memorial. This 3-D star of David is just part of it, but it always strikes me as unique and nice.

The gothic chapel, a miniature cathedral, also is very nice.

It truly was a beautiful morning, with temps in the 40s, sunny and calm. I ran slow, but felt good.
