Stormy but beautiful
This is the phenomenon known as virga — rain that doesn't reach the ground, like a smile that doesn't reach the eyes. I returned to the place I ran Thursday and it was beautiful again.
The roads around here are crawling with ATVs. I'm guessing there's a "poker run" going on. Two looked to go up the closed road I was setting out to run, but they saw the "no motorized vehicles" signs and thought better of it with me there to witness.
It actually started raining by the time I got back to my car. Made everything smell wonderful.
But before the clouds started swirling, it was calm, sunny and in the 70s. I ran for 40 minutes or so shirtless, for the first time in more than a year.
The sky was more scenic than the countryside today.
