Bah Humbug Contour Road

The wild roses are in full bloom now. I'll find more — maybe even cut a few because they smell fantastic — in the next day or two. I went all the way to the gate on the Humbug Contour Road today and felt good. And I'm going to tack an extra couple of miles on for a short one I took a day after last week's Mount Helena run.

This is the aforementioned gate, which is about 3 up the road.

Beautiful day — 60-ish and relatively calm.

I've photographed this rotting log before, but the striations always get my attention.

This is the usual vista spot, but I can't resist it because it opens up so dramatically.

And the yarrow is in full bloom now (as it will be for the rest of the summer). No beargrass on this route, however.
